Hospice is a special kind of caring for people of all ages who are living with life-threatening illnesses. Become part of a team of professionals by helping families feel less alone during a difficult time. CNHVNAH relies on community volunteers to provide family visits for respite care, bereavement support, and companionship to hospice clients throughout Belknap County and Southern Carroll County. You can help provide life-enhancing support for only a few hours a week and share in the incredible hospice experience. No medical training is required.
The training includes discussion on issues such as death & dying, exploring spirituality, palliative care, the art of listening and interacting with the hospice family. Hospice volunteers work as part of the CNHVNAH Hospice team to provide quality care, comfort and support to persons at the end of life, to their families and their caregivers.
CNHVNAH encourages anyone who wants to learn more about end-of-life choices and the Hospice experience to enroll in the training. To register, please contact Pamela Littlefield, Volunteer Coordinator, at 524-8444 x348 or email plittlefield@centralvna.org.
