Welcome to the tutorial for the new ebclaconia.com.  This tutorial will take you on a brief tour through ebclaconia.com to explore some of its features and functions.  What you will discover is a powerful communication tool to help you stay connected to the EBC community.

Home Page

First up on our tour is the Home Page.  A number of the website’s key communication features can be found right here on the first page.

Sliders:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The slider is the banner you first see when the webpage loads.  This is our main mode for the promotion of special events and other crucial information.  Types of items that may be promoted on the slider are current sermon series and events such as Back To Church Sunday, the Easter egg hunt, etc.  The slider will automatically “slide” through a number of promotions or you can scroll through them by using the direction arrows highlighted in the example above.  If you hover your mouse over the slider the image will pause.

Events Calendar:

 

In the lower lefthand corder of the Home Page you will find an events calendar (list).  This calendar highlights the next two scheduled EBC events by providing the title of the event and all its pertinent information such as location, time, and notes specific to each event.  If you want to see more then the next two events the you can go to the calendar page.  But we’ll take a look at that a little later.

In the lower righthand corner of the Home Page you will find the News Feed.  The News Feed provides you with up to date information about what’s going on at EBC.

 

About Page

The About Page provides practical/logistical information about EBC such as information about our Sunday morning ministries, our pastors, doctrine, purpose, etc.  It also provides some useful interactive tools.  Lets take a look them…

Media

The Media link will take you to a media player that will allow you to listen to message audio from Sunday mornings.*  In the future we will expand the function of this page to include other forms of media such as video.

 

Docs

The Docs link is an online folder containing important church documents that the entire church needs to access.

 

Project Portal

The Project Portal is a portal to various online ministry project planning centers.  Each ministry in the church can setup a ministry project planning center which can be used to manage any number of projects within that ministry.  You can read more about this feature by clicking here.  If you are heading up a ministry and would like to develop your own online ministry project planning center then please contact the church office.  

 

Ministries Page

The Ministries Page provides information on various ministries of our church. Each page at its most basic form provides a brief explanation of the ministry.  However, if ministries leaders desire they can develop their pages by adding a number of interactive features specific to their page.  If you are a ministry leader and would like to develop your page or add your ministry then please contact the church office.

Calendar Page

The Calendar Page provides you with all the same features as the Event Calendar on the Home Page but in a typical calendar grid layout that allows you to navigate to any date.  Note that you can view this particular calendar in a week, month, or agenda form by clicking on the appropriate tab in the upper righthand corner.  You can even import an event from the EBC Web Calendar into your own Google calendar.

 Contact Page

The Contact Page provides contact and location information for the church. This can be a great tool to use when inviting friends to church.  Simply copy and past the Calendar Page URL into an email or Facebook post and provide your friends with all the information they need to get to EBC on Sunday morning.
